It’s a Boy!
We’ve spent the past 5 months wondering what the newest addition to our family would be. As many of you know, I have a 2-year old daughter named Zoe, who has through her own special way changed my life for the better. Prior to becoming a parent I never understood the life-binding bond that a parent shares with their child, other than what my father would share about my brother and I.
It’s not until you actually experience the joys of childbirth (as Chris Davis just recently reported) that you realize how wonderfully special it is to become a father and a mother. In fact, it’s unlike any experience in this world, even if you might be convinced otherwise.
Yesterday my wife, daughter and I were pleased with the news that our next child would be a boy. To me, it was a surprise since I convinced myself that this child would be a girl, but alas, we now have balance in our family. My only hope is that Zoe will become comfortable with her new brother instead of considering him an “Invader from Planet X”.
Life is perfect, as far as my family is concerned.
