9Rules Network
I’m proud to announce that kartooner.com is now part of the 9rules Network, a blog network ran by none other than Paul “Scrivs” Scrivens of CSS Vault and Forever Geek fame.
As James Archer so eloquently describes:
The 9rules Network is a great endeavor that seeks to help content publishers find larger audiences for their work. The network has a narrow focus, accepting only a small number of sites that provide great content.
It’s also worth mentioning that 9rules is different from your typical blogging network (I’ll refrain from pointing fingers) in that the content is solely owned by the author(s) of the site. The agreement set forth is that both network and content publishers work together to expose the creative work to a larger audience. In short, the goal is to provide great content and in the process share it with as many folks as possible.
Thanks goes out to my readers for your continued support and of course Paul and the gang for opening the door and allowing me to step through. The end result of this endeavour is split two-fold; more quirky content for you to read and hopefully a bit more readers to share in the fun and conversation.
I’ll end with one of my favorite quotes, by author and speaker Zig Ziglar:
Outstanding people have one thing in common: an absolute sense of mission.

Cool man. Wonder how could I be part of this too. Sure, I’m just beginning to rise my English blog from the ashes of oblivion (betobeto.com/notebook/) but I am definitely working my butt off to make it rich in quality content. I like to build posts into lifelasting articles rather than just slapping a few words and call it a day. I’m more interested in exposure rather than money at this point… guess I’ll have to wait until first round is over. Oh well.
Congrats!

Congratulations; though I must admit ignorance as to what exactly the consequences for this are?

Adam: Thanks! It should be awesome, but admitedly I’m still out in a field scratching my head as to how this’ll work out, I’m confident that this will benefit all parties involved, but I’m still a “newbie” to all of this.
Beto: For the next round I’d suggest applying for membership, if you’re really interested. Addressing quality content opposed to one-liners or whims, it is more difficult to invest the time, effort and knowledge towards writing meaningful and long-lasting posts, but the payoff (in the long run) is more than worth it. After almost 2 years of writing good content you’ll have an archive to reference later on in life and possibly even bind into some sort of book form.
Michael: The consequences are essentially increased readership and exposure. There’s also the Adsense dispursement across the network, but I’m more focused on providing good content and increased participation. I think commenting on blogs adds a layer of depth to what would otherwise just be a static article.

Congrats (I think)? I had no idea that 9rules was open for joining… where the hell have I been!
How does this change things for you (if you can go into any detail) besides more traffic from being part of a network? Any cool benefits?

That’s cool man!
And I like what you said about trying to write more content for blogs, vs the occasional one liner or link. I started up a new one with that intent in mind, but oddly enough, I have only one liners and links…

Congrats, although I too am somewhat in the dark as to what exactly 9networks is? Do we want more people reading our little blogs? Congrats my good man, you do provide some great content.
