Global Thoughts
I’ve often wondered if our thoughts change the world around us. I’m not talking about decisions per say, not why you chose to see Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle over Y Tu Mama Tambien. Rather, I’m referring to the collective thought process of the world. Is it possible that you or I with just a mere thought could change the functioning of our world?
For instance, while walking around in a mall several months ago, midway into a conversation with a friend of mine, I thought of Payless Shoes. However, it didn’t stop there. Thinking of Payless Shoes I came up with a random number, $12.99, and the color of an almond (in this case Biege). Not too long after we strolled by a Payless Shoes’ outlet with beige-colored sandals on sale for $12.99.
Was this a mere coincidence or did my thoughts change the world? It’s debatable and even I don’t have the answers. However, someone has written an article on what is referred to as the Global Mind.

Maybe I could start up a “Scott is desperate, send your pennies” fund. However, you know Scott, you always could try soliciting one cent donations on your site. Just one cent, not a penny more. Eventually you might amass enough cash (and share a little with the little people) just like this guy did (according to Snopes).

You’ve watched “Repo Man” one too many times, go eat a Plate ‘O Shrimp. :)
You’re little graphic headers are as good as anyone’s I’ve seen. That globe is fantastic.
Song to be heard by you: “Secret Journey” from “Ghost In the Machine” by The Police.

This stuff used to happen to me: I’d have a “random” thought and within hours I’d start noticing very specific things related to the thought. One thing we don’t realize is that our brains are hyperactive (relative to our everyday notion of normal conscious brain activity) and thousands of thoughts fly through our minds every minute; one dramatic correlation of our thoughts and what we actually sense in the physical world occurs one day and viola - some lady changes her name to “Ms. Cleo” and starts taking your phone calls.
