Arnold, Gary and Larry

ahnuld.gif“Whatchu talkin ’bout, Willis?”

First it’s Arnold Swartzenegger announcing his run for California governor. You would think the celebrity controversy would end there. Now we have Gary “Different Strokes” Coleman in the race for California Govenor and Larry “Penthouse” Flynt.

The last promotional appearance Coleman made was in the ill-favored PC game, Postal 2. Now he’s running for Governor? I would not have forseen this in three million years.

However, if you really stop and think about it - how much more damage can be done?

Random Linkage

If you’re really bored today, why don’t you make these horses sing a capella?

Also, was Paul McCartney replaced with a Look-Alike in 1966? I’ll let you be the judge.

Or, how about one of those flashy 1984 Apple computers? You want one.

You could always trip out on this effect.

Be Brave, Carlos.

gayday2000s.jpgDisneyland Source is the definitive source for all that is Disney, the park that is. The web site is filled with great articles that detail each section of the park (with maps included). The best feature in my opinion is the audio files of each ride, my favorite being the Pirates of the Carribean. As I’m typing this now as I’m listening to the 13 minute audio track of the entire ride and enjoying every minute of it;

For example, one of the characters states to her significant other;

“Be brave, Carlos. Don’ listen to ‘em.”

This is then followed by flighty accordion music, barking, meowing and drunk pirates singing “Yo Ho! Yo Ho!”.

This proves my oberservation that pirates are just plain cool.

First Post in August

sixteencandles.jpgThis is the eventful first post of August. The subject matter of this article serves no purpose other than to fill this space for the “First Post . . of . . August.”.

Okay, that’s a lie. In truth, I’ve got a few sites I need you to take a look at. Remember, you’re under no pressure here and anything I’ll mention usually contains something imaginative, humorous or something in-between and a mixture of the two. It’s what I figure a “win-win” situation for you and me - you get to see and interact with cool technology and I get the satisfaction that whatever I post is something you’ll like, guaranteed with a stamp of Wanky approval.

Without further ado (or padding of this article if you may) here’s the linkage you need to see:

Sense Challenge : Outwit your own senses. From a certain point of view this might be something difficult to do and you’re right — it is! That’s okay though considering it’s difficult to outwit yourself. Try out these and see what you can accomplish.

Primate Programmers : Save money in outsourcing and technology consultants. Human programmers? Psst, buddy, that’s a thing of the past. Hire a Primate Programmer because remember, monkeys are so much better than humans. You want proof? Watch Planet of the Apes (circa late 60s - 70s).

80’s Ending : I’m sure you’ve seen movies like Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueler, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and The Breakfast Club, the classic films of the 80s. (Forgot Revenge the Nerds, sorry). All of the movies in the 80s ended in a cliche’ way, that is… well, just watch the film - it’s great!

Habari has been installed. Time to migrate and will more than likely need some assistance with that. Love the minimalist feel. via Twitter

Delicioso!
