Peep Power

Considering that Easter is just around the corner, the object I always see in my mind that represents the confectionary side of Easter is the infamous Peeps. Those cute, tiny marshmallow confectionaries with the beedy eyes and sugary texture.

The “Candy” Easter would be nothing without the power of the Peeps. Have you ever stared at a Peep and get that chill down your spine? Well, I have and it still happens today. It’s as if the Peeps themselves are watching every move you take and every breath you exhale or inhale (whichever you prefer, personally I prefer both).

Would you like to learn more of their power? Read this. And, then read this. When you’re done with those, read this.

Believe me, you’ll understand.

Goofy Gadgets

Scouring the ‘net, I’ve managed to find a few links to inventions that should never have been made. That, or just goofy inventions that serve no real purpose other than being worthless or novel. Although, if you can get a patent on it, I say go for it. I’m still in the process of “inventing” an “effecient” cord-less vaccumm and a portable fish tank (complete with hand grip).

Doggles.com - eyewear for Dogs. Wow.

Now, these are really stupid. Although, the top one does earn merit for it’s semi-worthiness.

Totally Absurd Patents is an archive of actual US patents. This one is especially creepy.

Roller Coasters and Grass

Coming from the “Hey-I’ve-Got-Nothing-Else-To-Do-So-I’m-Gonna-Build-a-Coaster” is the dream of every boy and girl. I’ve seen people tie a piece of rope from one end of a tree to another and then attach a coat hanger and a child to one end. Due to the incline and the parent pushing their child (note: Child is most likely surprised by this point) — the kid jettisons across the piece of rope like James Bond.

It’s a cool concept, but now someone has successfully built a cool “backyard” Roller Coaster. Yes, I realize that many people have done this in the past. I can remember seeing someone build the track off of their roof and well, needless to say, it didn’t end pretty.

This is a bit more simple in construction and luckily doesn’t show anyone eating pavement. It even has the CAM-O-VISION view of the experience.

Pop Rocks and Coke

Poprocks & Coke is a zany site that reviews certain nostalgic past times. Similar to X-Entertainment, this is all about bringing back the early 80s and beyond through pictures and articles.

Check it out. You’ll dig.
